Diane Bowers has over 20 years experience as a therapist specializing in individual, couples, and group therapy with adults and also provides counseling in English or Spanish.

In addition to her other specialties, as an experienced substance abuse counselor, Diane is skilled in treating clients with substance abuse issues, through recovery coaching, relapse prevention, addressing dual diagnosis, co-dependency, and anger management. Diane is also experienced with working with family members of clients with substance abuse issues. She also works with trauma recovery and abuse survivors.

Professional Background
Diane Bowers, LCSW,  provides therapy at Across Counseling.  Her Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work is from the University of Utah and her Bachelors degree is from the University of Utah.
Diane's work experience includes the Loudoun County Community Services Board - Mental Health and Substance Abuse. 


Prior to coming to Across Counseling, Diane worked as a treatment coordinator for the Utah Children's Justice Center and as a therapist for the Cornerstone Counseling Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.


Diane earned her Masters degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Utah. Her graduate training included a focus on the relationship between substance abuse and domestic violence.
